Marianne Worthington |

Marianne Worthington was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, and has lived in southeastern Kentucky since 1990, where she is Associate Professor of Communication Arts at Cumberland College in Williamsburg. She is the creative writing instructor for the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts and the Reviews Editor for Now & Then: The Appalachian Magazine. Her writing has appeared widely in such journals as Shenandoah, Wind, and the Louisville Review. "On Broadway" her essay about growing up in Fountain City, was included in the literary anthology Knoxville Bound. Her poetry chapbook, Larger Bodies Than Mine, is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press in 2006. |

Tony Crunk |

Tony Crunk is a native of western Kentucky. He attended Centre College of Kentucky and the University of Virginia, where he received the Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing. His first collection of poetry, Living in the Resurrection, was the 1994 selection in the Yale Series of Younger Poets. He has since published two additional books of poetry, Parables and Revelations (Finishing Line Press) and Cumberland (Mercy Seat Press). He has also published three books for children, Big Mama (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), Grandpa's Overalls (Orchard Books), and Railroad John and the Red Rock Run (Peachtree Publishers). He has taught at a number of universities, including the University of Montana and James Madison University, and he has been active in numerous community-based arts and literary organizations. He is a founding member of Magic City Community Writers, a Birmingham-based co-operative of writers offering instructional programs in creative writing to the public. |
